What geographical location are you in?

Also, if you are running Safari, you can open the Activity window and see what file it's getting hung up on. On the right, it should say "Waiting" or something like that

If it turns out to be an adnetwork, we are working on improving the load time for those with some changes.

    I don't think it's WireTap that's the problem.

i think iTunes wants to burn an MP3 CD if longer than standard audio, but since you encoded in AAC you have to convert the tracks to MP3 first, then burn to MP3 CD.

Select MP3 encoding under prefs first, then select tracks and under Advanced menu, select "Convert Selection to MP3"

Yes, I'm going to make a moral judgement - if you've just bought a $1200+ computer surely you can afford the $60 to get the three iWork apps from the App Store. If it's tapped out your bank account, wait a few weeks and save up for it.

    You're pirating software. Don't.

It depends on your needs, if you have two notebooks with the same specs and differing only in weight, the lighter one will probably be more expensive, but if you need something that is very portable then it is probably worth it and thus better. If you don't care about weight, the heavier one will be cheaper and better for your needs.

Understood. In the future, you can add the editing template to an article while you're editing it to warn others not to. Usage is as follows (this automatically adds your name and the current date & time):

Thanks for the added clarification and understanding. I (as usual) overreacted, but I could tell (from your first reply in PM) that your intentions were not hostile. I will remember to use the editing code next time I post up a new guide.

Thanks again for the assistance, and I have learned some valuable wiki experience that should help avoid these types of transactions in the future.

Your help, understanding, and patience is greatly appreciated!

wife said 'hell no', and don't put any more computers in guest rooms...

BTW: The 1gb shuffle is UK99.01 over here.
    About US$186...

So that's why $30 seems fairly reasonable from a UK point of view.
Well... from my point of view anyway.

I'm not sure what it says above but Holiday bump. Asking $250 for everything. I would only trade for an ipod video but would really prefer some cashola via paypal and in the states ONLY. You can figure on paying $215+ range for the camera alone. I'm not sure what the card is now but it should be $100ish retail and no less than half that on ebay. So you're getting this mint used camera with the card, case, and extra battery .....with battery charger ofcourse for a pretty rockin deal. This would make an excellent gift since it is compact and yields stellar results. This will outperform your standard kodak easycrap 4mp camera or any of the lower line canon's...you know, that garbage that they sell cheap at christmas. So somebody......please buy!!

Speaking of which i installed it on 5 windows machines at the begging of september and i checked them yesterday they are still doing the first WU they are at 0% yet they are working at %100 CPU. Any ideas? its like that on all of them.

Yes, everybody would like to know more, but what's another month?
I've already decided that unless by some miracle FCP X can really replace my FCP 7 workflow straight out of the box in June (highly unlikely), I'm not buying it until it truly can, even if it's only $300. I'm sure the post houses feel the same way...Its a no brainer for me. Ill buy it so I can at least start at ground floor. It wont take me away from Avid/FCP at work but I will at least have a head-start in case the school I teach at gets it for Fall classes.
Now as far as dropping it into a real world workflow, Id wait a bit.
Ive learned to not get caught up on the hype thanks to companies such as Adobe :P
Ill let the million plus beta-testers deal with it before I move to another CS blah blah blah :P

I was actually just going to ask pretty much the same question and am interested as well.

What I wanted to do was put Windows 7 along with OSX on my 240gb SSD while also partitioning my my 750gb HDD that I'll install in the optibay drive so one side is for Windows in NTFS and the other for OSX.

Possible within disc utilies, right? Sorry, I am a new Mac user =D

I'm a little confused, I understand the OSX and bootcamp win7 on the SSD but why are you partitioning the 750GB HDD? You might want to format the 750GB as mac osx journaled and get macdrive for win7, that way windows can write to both the bootable osx and the 750GB drive.

I have one drive with 3 partitions. SL, Lion and win7 and can share files between each OS. Just a suggestion... :)

Don't think you could go wrong with this keyboard. As to comparing it to the AluBook????? I don't have one and my experience is limited to a few keystrokes at an Apple retailer. HOWEVER, it does seem to compare very nicely from my limited experience. Trust me, this is a nice keyboard especially if you are used to laptops. Finally, I think you might be in luck. I believe I did a Google search and came up with some European/Japanese sites that carried this and/or had some reviews of it. I could swear that in a review I came across some info that you could get a BT version of the IceKey. If they sold it here in the states I'd get one as my G5 is BT. My goal is to "cut the cord" so to speak. I highly recommend the Icekey.... good luck. Cheers

Did some digging and found an old review of the IceKey. Think that it will address your concerns regarding "feel". Check it out. http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=359

    Cheers
